JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Onsite lead for all areas of operations including customer shipments and packaging, ordering, print, compliance audits, training, claims, end of month reporting, bank deposits, customer and vendor relationships and other duties as assigned.
-Provide excellent customer service in an over the counter retail environment
-Process customer shipments via UPS computer systems – Includes weight and measurement of packages
-Pack customer packages utilizing UPS Packaging Guidelines and materials.
-Utilize cash register to complete customer transactions; reconcile registers
-Mail sorting and placement into customer mailboxes
-Perform other mail duties as assigned.
-Sell other products and services of The UPS Store
-Assist customers with copy, print, notary and fax services
-Perform various printing responsibilities using common software applications. (e.g., Microsoft Word, -Excel, Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator)
- Supervise staff of up to 5 Sales Associates.
-Reports to offsite Store Manager
-Other general housekeeping responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
-High school diploma; some college or degree highly preferred.
- 5 years retail experience. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
-Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain harmonious relationships with customers in person and over the phone.
-Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written (e.g., email) form.
-Excellent customer service skills.-Excellent typing and computer skills.
-Excellent quantitative aptitude — ability to work a cash register and reconcile at end of day.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours) of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
