Join Vanguard’s Fund Tax Group and World Wide Security Taxation team! In this role, you will provide tax analysis support for Vanguard's funds through research and analysis and tax filing activities. This role also maintains domestic and international lenses on regulatory changes and impacts, and provides recommendations towards process improvements. The Senior Tax Analyst: Prepares and reviews complex tax filings processes such as book-tax difference computations, federal income tax provisions, global tax filings, uncertain tax positions work papers, etc. Researches and analyzes merger and acquisition transactions. Evaluates tax impacts and provides recommendations to management. Reviews and resolves tax issues. Partners with internal and external partners to achieve resolution and ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting. Acts as tax liaison for critical investment operations functions. Monitors and complies with domestic and international taxation, tax laws, and regulations affecting global investments of Vanguard products. Independently performs analysis of issues and elevates high priority situations for management review. Recommends solutions and process improvement opportunities to gain efficiency. Attends industry and vendor conferences to stay abreast of changes and industry impact. Trains new crew members, provides technical guidance and on-the-job training as needed. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. What it takes: Minimum of three years related work experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. CPA, ACA, or CTA preferred.
