Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Automation Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated and auxiliary equipment. This role is essential to ensuring equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting overall production efficiency. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a hands-on technical environment.
Shift: 1st Shift (6:55am - 3:10pm)
Monday - Friday
Weekend OT Available
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on automation and auxiliary equipment, including inspection, lubrication, adjustments, and testing
- Diagnose issues and replace or repair work of faulty mechanical components
- Conduct regular equipment inspections to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before failure
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Work collaboratively with other technicians, operators, and departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment and address maintenance-related concerns
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Other duties as assigned in Management’s sole discretion
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or automation environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficient in the use of hand tools
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs
- Previous experience with automation systems or auxiliary manufacturing equipment
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems or ERP Software (IQMS a plus but not required)
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work overtime when required by management
- Must have flexible working schedule to support molding operations
- Repetitive bending/reaching
- Standing for sustained periods to time
- Must be able to lift to 45 pounds without accommodation
