Automation Technician - Fabricator/Assembler

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Automation Technicians Fabricator/Assembler to assist in the assembly, wiring and startup/debug of custom equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for a technician who enjoys a variety of shop tasks, from mechanical assembly and electrical layout to 3D printing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Primary Shift: 1st Shift (7am - 3:30pm)

Must have flexibility to support operations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and equipment according to engineering drawings and schematics
• Assist with the layout, building, and wiring of electrical subpanels
• Support startup and debug of newly built equipment
• Operator and maintain 3D printing equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and part lists to determine methods and sequences of assembly
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to fabricate and assemble parts and subassemblies
• Position and align components using hoists, jigs, or manually
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure proper hand tool and equipment care
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Prepare work by gathering tools, materials, and components required for each job
• Other duties as assigned in Managements sole discretion

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, fabrication, or a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with general shop tools
• Proficient hand-eye coordination and dexterity for assembling small or delicate components
• Experience with CAD software
• Exposure to or knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems
• Prior experience in equipment startup and debugging

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work overtime when required by management
• Must have flexible working schedule to support molding operations
• Repetitive bending/reaching
• Standing for sustained periods to time
• Must be able to lift to 45 pounds without accommodation
