What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Thibodaux Regional Health System?
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician works only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician does not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a Registered Pharmacist.
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED
Previous Experience:
1. Pharmacy experience preferred.
Other Special Training/Skills:
1. Typing skills and excellent math skills are essential.
Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
Current and valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy, Active registered Pharmacy intern or eligible candidate with a work permit as a Pharmacy Tech with the La. Board of Pharmacy.
