ThinkSelf, Inc. is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened community through education and advocacy. Our Adult Education program offers a safe and nurturing environment for adult learners to improve their American Sign Language and English skills. Our Statewide Advocacy program supports survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse with trauma-informed services.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Navigator role located in St. Paul, MN at ThinkSelf Minnesota Deaf Adult Education and Advocacy. The Navigator will provide support and guidance to individuals navigating the program services and resources, advocating for their needs, and facilitating access to education and advocacy programs.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Deaf culture and experience working with the DDBDDHHLD community
- Ability to provide support and advocacy services
- Experience in adult education or advocacy programs
- Fluency in American Sign Language and written English
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, or related field
