Job Title: Inventory Analyst III – Material Planning and Control
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Waterloo, IA 50704
Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 1 Year (with possible extension)
Job Summary:
The Inventory Analyst III will oversee inventory accuracy through audits, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams. This role supports both financial and operational inventory processes, working closely with materials, manufacturing, and HR teams to maintain point-of-use inventory control and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement and monitor inventory audits to ensure system accuracy
· Compile and analyze inventory reports and cycle count data
· Coordinate inventory processes (e.g., RGA, excess material handling)
· Resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective action
· Support annual and monthly financial audits for inventory accuracy
· Provide supervision and coaching to cycle counters or junior inventory staff
· Reconcile inventory variances and initiate preventive measures
Position Overview:
This position is critical to ensuring integrity between physical and system inventory. You will coordinate across departments and utilize various reporting tools to maintain inventory alignment, improve inventory turns, and support lean material processes.
Required Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with SAP
· Knowledge of material flow and inventory control processes
· Background in inventory management or manufacturing environments
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

· Metatarsal foot protection needed on the first day
