Thump Baker

Thump Coffee in Bend, OR is looking to hire a baker for our team. We are located on 549 NW York Drive Suite 200.

Position Purpose 

The prep baker position at Thump Coffee completes daily preparation of assorted baked goods, contributes to a fun and disciplined work environment, and to commits to changing lives through achieving goals with their team.

Position Summary

When you bake for Thump Coffee, you spend your shifts at our York location and get to use state-of-the-art equipment. Your team is disciplined and fun, and rallies behind daily goals with a sense of purpose. At the end of your shift, you can leave work - probably dusted in flour - knowing you helped transform the lives of all who walk through Thump’s doors.

Our Thump Bakers are committed to the following job functions:

• Mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of baked goods
• Complete the daily bake off of an assortment of baked goods
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the baking area, including dishwashing and mopping the floor
• Contribute to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the quantity and quality of baked goods
• Delivery baked goods to our cafes and wholesale partners on an as-needed basis

Our dream Thump Baker has the following knowledge and qualifications:

• The ability to comfortably receive all kinds of feedback 
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• 1 year of baking experience or the ability and passion to learn how to bake

Position pay, schedule, and requirements:

• The starting pay for bakers at Thump is $18-$22 per hour.
• Full-time and part-time hours available with shifts from 2:30 AM - 10:00 AM and 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Must at minimum train on and be able to cover the bake-off shift(2:30 AM - 10:00 AM)

Bakers at Thump must be comfortable lifting large mixing bowls and dishes, working with large ovens and mixers, and comfortable and able to focus in a fast-paced environment.
