Position Summary:
The Peets Counter Attendant will ensure service standards are met by providing friendly
and professional service while delivering high quality food and beverage offerings. The
Peets Counter Attendant will ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing
Guests with prompt, quality coffee selections, purchase, and preparation. The Peets
Counter Attendant will provide Guests and fellow Team Members with a friendly, upbeat
presence while maintaining a clean atmosphere. Responsibilities must be performed in
accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude”
company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all
times.
2. Welcome and connect with every Guest. Provide information regarding all products
offered.
3. Anticipate Guests’ needs and appropriately suggest additional products to enhance
service and meet sales goals.
4. Assist Guests in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, food items,
and retail items.

5. Prepare a variety of Guest beverage orders. Serve food items and warm pastry case
items when requested.
6. Ensure pastry display case is well-stocked and presentable.
7. Present a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear communication with all Guests
and Team Members.
8. Maintain knowledge of all products offered and ensure that all products are served to
the Guests according to Thunder Valley Casino Resort and Peets standards.
9. Using proper equipment and appropriate training, follow established policies and
procedures in addition to specifications for operational flow at each station.
10. Follow SOPs, recipe books, and guidelines and have all necessary supplies to provide
consistency and quality of service.
11. Follow cash handling and register policies including processing Guest checks
following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
12. Follow established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks,
and non-cash paperwork drop.
13. Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with duty rosters and cleaning standards to
maintain the appearance and sanitation of the restaurant service area and equipment.
14. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
Restock all products throughout the shift as necessary.
15. Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
16. Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance
checklist.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
2. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required
knowledge, skills and abilities. One (1) year of experience in a food service outlet is
preferred.
3. Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously while serving customers.

4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in
both written and verbal form.
6. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
7. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to
distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
3. Must be able to lift twenty (20) lbs.
4. Must be able to enter walk-in units with temperatures to -10 degrees.
5. Must be able to bend and reach to a height of six (6) feet with or without assistance.
6. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically conducted in a food service environment which may be hot, cold, and
noisy. Work will also be conducted in an area adjacent to the casino in the presence of
secondhand smoke. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull
and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Frequent
contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
