What you will do:
The Logistics Coordinator performs transportation and distribution processes and will maximize pick-up and delivery efficiency while optimizing transportation costs for TCCA freight utilizing both the private fleet and common carriers. Ensures sale orders, transfer orders and purchase orders are scheduled, dispatched, and arrive on time to the appropriate destinations in the expected quantity. This role requires a strong-willed, visionary, strategic mindset and operate best under pressure in a partnership manner.
Here’s a day in the life:

Monitor the unassigned orders for specific locations and build them into efficient truck loads.

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the transportation department.

Schedule and coordinate the activities of the TCCA drivers.

Ensure orders are dispatched so that they can reach their destination by the requested delivery date.

Schedule the delivery and backhaul of products throughout our transportation network.

Work with other departments including customer service, planning, manufacturing, procurement, and the farm store so that all pick-up and delivery needs are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Tender loads to common carriers to ensure requested pick-up and delivery dates are met.

Schedule delivery and pick-up appointments.

Ensure regulatory compliance with state and feeder laws and regulations.

Demonstrate proficiency in office procedures.
Skills you’ll need:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
3 years of transportation experience is required.
Experience:
Teamwork skills: The Logistics Coordinator will be part of a relatively small team and will be asked to work closely with others.
Self-starter: We are looking for someone that loves people and is self-motivated to get the work done. You will have to work independently.
Total command of English language and all MS Office applications
Basic project management skills (critical path analysis, contingencies)
Strong oral and written communication skills
A desire to grow professionally
Excellent communication and customer service skills
