Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH is seeking a Registered (RPSGT) Sleep Technician to work full-time nights (8:00pm - 6:00am). This position is full-time and offers employee benefits.
General Summary:
Manually analyzes testing as directed.
Works under the supervision of the attending physician and Office Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide patient education regarding the sleep test.
- Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to standards.
- Perform routine PAP fitting and desensitization.
- Analyzes sleep testing data accurately and in a timely fashion as directed by the Office Physician.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
-Previous experience in a sleep lab.
-Adheres to CLIA and OSHA regulations.
-Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
-Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
-Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
-Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) within 6 month of starting the job.
- RPSGT is required
-Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures
-Experience scoring sleep studies.
