Description:
As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting women throughout their labor and delivery experience and ensuring the safe arrival of their babies into the world. A Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.
Qualifications
Current RN license, BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility), Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience., Strong communication and adaptability skills.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care., Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience., Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions., Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures., Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.
