What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Person position at Town of Bethlehem?
The Town of Bethlehem is seeking a Parks and Recreation Maintenance Person candidate to work in the Town’s Parks and Recreation and Highway Departments. Primary duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
· Assists in cleaning and maintaining swimming pools and related equipment;
· Repairs, maintenance and cleaning of park and recreation grounds, fields, equipment,
and buildings;
· Performs preventative maintenance and repair to park and recreation
equipment;
· May supervise the work of seasonal employees involved with park and recreation maintenance;
Highway construction and maintenance tasks;
· Storm drainage maintenance tasks;
· Mowing of Town property;
· Flagging;
· Yard waste and leaf pickup;
· Acting as a wingman during snow removal;
· Plowing and snow removal for crosswalks, bus stops, catch basins, parks and other Town property.
A valid NYS Driver License is required for this position.
Certified Pool Operator license is a plus but not required.
