What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Hockey Assistant Director position at Town of Greenwich?
Assists the Field Hockey Director with staff/volunteer instruction and supervision, field set-up, administrative duties, and communications with participants.
**Season runs: 8 weeks, beginning early September. Program meets mainly on Sundays (mornings) and Wednesday (evenings).
Approximately 8 hours per week
Ensures that all goalie equipment, balls, cones etc. are available.
Organizes participant's emergency information and keeps an updated roster on hand.
Administers emergency response and first aid if needed. Report all incidents to the Director.
Keeps all parents and spectators not registered for the program off the field.
Assists the Director with any special events or games with other leagues. Some travel will be required.
Communicates with the Director and Instructors during times of inclement weather. Follows the Director's instructions for any cancelation or re-scheduled dates.
Ensures that all equipment is collected and put away each week and that the field is left in the condition it was found, if not better.
Informs the Director of any dangerous field conditions.
Informs all parents that participants needs to be properly registered through the Department of Parks and Recreation due to liability and insurance issues. Does not accept any registration forms at the field.
Remains at the field until every participant has been picked up by the appropriate person or party.
Submits hours on a weekly basis to the Director.
