What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Java Developer position at Toyo Tire?
Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc. is looking to hire an IT Java Developer who will lead the company's efforts in designing, developing, and testing Java-based applications while collaborating with other developers to design, test and deploy new solutions as well as maintaining, integrating and improving existing solutions. This role requires independent autonomy as well as team collaboration efforts and clear understanding of the applications in use. The Java Developer will ensure that all deliverables follow best practices around source control and can be incorporated into continuous integration and deployment patterns. It is important to be able to oversee individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. This position is based at the manufacturing plant in White, Georgia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Java-based applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, best practices and performance standards.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code, and conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, errors, and performance problems in the code.
- Ability independently test and validate results.
- Ensures availability and performance of the OS, and applications supporting the manufacturing environment.
- Work within our existing frameworks, but help improve them by staying current with rules engine, J2EE development, architecture and database technologies to constantly improve software quality, efficiency and ease of use.
- Plan, design and document the implementation of systems related to the current and future applications.
- Ability to deploy Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Bootstrap framework).
- Provides support to the team for critical components and complex issues.
- Research and recommend innovation automation for system administration.
- Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
- Contribute and work with the development and infrastructure teams.
- Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects.
- Performs on-site and remote technical support as needed.
- Participates in on-call duties and willing to work on national holidays for maintenance and deployments.

The salary range listed is what we reasonably expect to compensate generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on the specific job description. The range for this position is $87,424.00 - $131,136.00
Qualifications:

- Proven ability to independently design and develop a Java application full end to end
- Relational database experience specifically DB2 and SQL Server
- Experience with JavaServer pages (JSP) and servlets
- Knowledge of Service-oriented architecture
- Experience with Web Technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery
- Experience with Markup Languages such as XML, JSON
- Middle tier experience with restful webservices (ideally the ability to write them from scratch)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Platforms (Desktop and Server),
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution in computer science, mathematics, physics or equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible information technology experience.
