Your Purpose as a Inventory Control Specialist:
- Stock Vehicles into Inventory: Accurately enter and maintain new and used vehicle details in the inventory management system.
- Process Wholesale and Dealer Traded Vehicles: Coordinate paperwork and system updates for vehicle sales, trades, and transfers between dealerships.
- Serve as a Back-Up to Car Deal Posters: Assist in posting car deals to accounting systems when required, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Document Preparation and Processing: Create, review, and process essential documents, including business forms, government forms, and expense reports.
- Billing and Contracts Management: Prepare and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks promptly and accurately.
- Manage On- and Off-Site Repairs: Coordinate repair schedules and monitor the progress of vehicles undergoing maintenance, both in-house and with external vendors.
- Inventory Counts and Audits: Conduct routine inventory checks and audits to ensure all vehicles are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved swiftly.
- Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all vehicle data and documentation comply with dealership and legal standards, including title work and licensing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, service, and accounting teams to address inventory needs and resolve any issues.
- Support Vehicle Preparation: Coordinate inspections, detailing, and other preparations needed to maintain vehicle readiness for sale.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support dealership operations.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle (including manual transmission).
- Previous experience in inventory management, automotive dealership operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with dealership management software is a plus.
- Basic data entry and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
