Housekeeping Supervisor – Margaritaville Beach Resort

Fins up! Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for South Florida’s most exciting new hotel scheduled to open in late 2023.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for Supervisory duties in the housekeeping department. This includes inspecting guest rooms, counseling and interviewing employees, resolving guest complaints, general office duties, etc. Minimum of 1 year hotel experience and excellent communication skills, and basic computer skills. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and direction for all subordinates in the department.
- Attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions in a demanding environment.
- Ability to train, motivate, coach, counsel and discipline staff on Inn written policies and procedures.
- Coordinate room readiness with front office and maintenance departments for guest arrivals and service requests.
- Conducts property inspections of all rooms, out of service, VIP and cleaned rooms to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work.
- Delegates workload to housekeeping staff to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees, and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with the Inn’s hazard communication program.
- Reports issues such as furniture, fixtures, décor needs, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Thorough knowledge of property, space, and housekeeping processes.
- Minimum of 1-year hotel experience
- Excellent communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
