Title: Manager, Carrier Sales & Development

Description:
As a Manager, Carrier Sales and Development, you will work alongside our strategic team to develop market expertise and execute pricing opportunities.
You will be responsible for implementing processes to efficiently analyze internal and external data that will ensure TransLoop captures appropriate truckload volume as a result of network RFPs, mini bids, projects, seasonal requests and spot opportunities.
You will collaborate with account executives and carrier sales management among other team members to plan and execute comprehensive pricing strategies. What You'll Do
- Lead and Manage a team of Carrier Executives
- Provide strategy to Carrier Executives of all tenures drawing on past experience and current market/network conditions.
- Act as the warden to TransLoop’s internal system from a Carrier Sales standpoint, ensuring that accounts are utilized, and standard practices are being followed company wide.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all things TransLoop to capitalize on all opportunities, new and existing.
- Manage performance through monitoring KPIs and regular cadence with Carrier Executives
- Learn and leverage the TransLoop technology platform along with our carrier network and top industry talent to new and existing shipping partners.
- Improve and manage retention for approved carriers
- Report Trends and Market Updates
- Provide solutions to maximize the efficiency
- Optimize current systems to connect shipment to the existing capacity
- Act as point of escalation resolving issues in transit, to ensure stellar service, 24/7/365
- Oversee communication channels to ensure shipments are posted accurately
- Lead the build out of carrier capacity in “tough” markets
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a logistics firm
- Proven track record of managing employees and being a high performer
- Experience in managing high volume and multi-faceted accounts
- Strong writing and speaking skills
- The ability to work with the latest technologies
- The ability to balance attention to detail with rapid execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
- Strength in leading a team, efficient communication and dedication to growing the business.
- Coaching and teaching skills
- Constant drive to create the best sales team in the industry.
- Strong skills in Excel, Outlook and Tableau (preferred)
