Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Electronics Test & Validation
Location: 100% Onsite – Newark, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Power Electronics Testing & Validation to join our Power Electronics & Test Validation team. This role is focused on supporting the development, testing, and validation of EV and renewable energy systems. The ideal candidate is experienced, hands-on, and passionate about advancing cutting-edge power electronics technology in the energy and automotive space.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct validation and verification tests of power electronics systems to ensure performance and compliance with relevant standards.
- Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot issues using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, battery simulators, and electronic loads.
- Review schematics, PCB designs, calculations, and simulations for power converter systems.
- Investigate root causes of system-level failures and lead R&D efforts to drive resolution.
- Document test results and findings clearly and concisely in technical reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve designs and testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in power electronics testing and validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, E-loads, battery simulators, etc.).
- Solid understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and effective communication of complex concepts.
