🚨 We're Hiring: Sr. Controls Engineer
📍 Location: Newark, CA
We're seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and scaling of build/test equipment and lab environments for in-house battery systems.
You’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing operations, interfacing automation systems, and ensuring high-quality standards across development and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate equipment with MES and SCADA systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using OEE metrics
- Collaborate on control component selection and electrical design
- Develop standards for industrial control hardware/software
- Program PLCs and industrial robots (Fanuc preferred)
- Enhance production efficiency and support cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- 6 years in automation with a strong focus on controls design
- Expertise in Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text
- Programming experience with Python, C#, or SQL
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, IO Link)
- Hands-on experience from concept to commissioning
- Strong CAD knowledge (AutoCAD, CATIA)
