Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a travel healthcare professional in Galax, VA.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
- Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment.
- Evaluate equipment for proper function and report malfunctions to the director.
- Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Responsibilities also include interacting with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize patient care.
The ideal candidate should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, lift up to 20 pounds, and have specific vision abilities.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS and NRP certifications may be required in some areas.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
This is a travel position with a 13-week duration, requiring 36 hours of work per week, with shifts lasting 12 hours at night.
Salary : $78,120 - $162,000
