Job Description
The Bioskills Lab Technician is an organized, motivated, and driven team member whose objective is to support Medical Education and Marketing programs, primarily supporting local and offsite surgeon cadaveric bioskills training events. This is a full-time non-exempt position. This position will report to the Associate Manager, Medical Education. The Bioskills Lab Technician must be extremely organized with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of prioritizing activities with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
What you will be responsible for:
Equipping/organizing local lab facilities and cleaning, processing, and coordinating supplies for off-site cadaveric labs
Provide additional support for other Marketing programs such as national/regional trade shows, development of product demo models, and maintenance of medical education-related databases
Participate in onsite surgeon training and R&D cadaveric labs from set up to clean up
Efficiently plan, prepare, pack, and ship resources for off-site cadaveric lab events
Order and maintain lab supplies and related lab equipment to ensure they are organized and in proper working order
Order, prepare, and dispose of cadaveric specimens used during lab events
Decontaminate and organize equipment, instrumentation, and disposables following each event
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain appropriate levels of lab equipment and instrumentation
Assist in coordination and planning of regional and national exhibits, tradeshows, and conventions
Data entry and administration of customer database information to support various marketing research and corporate communication activities
Support of marketing activities, including updating information on website, editing marketing collateral and videos, preparation of educational product demonstration models, and deployment of marketing collateral to sales agents
Complete general clerical duties including data entry, copying, scanning, fax and mailing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly
Must be able to lift 35 pounds without assistance
Must be comfortable working in close proximity to X-ray equipment as needed.
Must be a team player, working collaboratively and productively with other business constituents to meet company goals and objectives.
Must be extremely well organized and detail-oriented, with ability to work in fast paced environment and manage a demanding workload
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Must be an effective communicator
Must be capable of professionally interacting with health care professionals on a regular basis
Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time and work a flexible schedule
