We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric APRN to join our dedicated team of professionals and contribute to our mission of helping individuals reclaim their lives from the grip of addiction.

Job Description: 

As a Psychiatric APRN at White Light you will play a vital role in the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care of our patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of physicians, therapists, and counselors to provide comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management to support our patients' recovery journey. Your expertise and empathetic approach will help guide and empower individuals on their path to lasting sobriety and improved mental well-being.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients with substance abuse disorders.
  2. Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care plans and evidence-based interventions.
  3. Provide psychiatric medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications as necessary.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patients' mental health status, response to medication, and treatment progress, making adjustments as needed.
  5. Conduct ongoing patient education and counseling related to mental health, medication adherence, and self-care practices.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with facility policies, payer guidelines and legal regulations.
  8. Stay current with advances in psychiatric treatment modalities, pharmacology, and best practices in addiction medicine.
  9. Complete daily and weekly patient follow ups
  10. Participate in routine compliance reviews and trainings

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred.
  • Experience in psychiatric care and addiction medicine highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer literacy.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
