Trideum Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer supporting the Advancing Operational Test Infrastructure (AOTI) effort. The person in this role is responsible for supporting Model Based Systems Engineering processes and best practices to the development of requirements, designs, plans, and reports in a manner tailored to the timely development and successful demonstration of a prototype test environment for Future Vertical Lift and Integrated Air & Missile Defense Operational Tests. This effort is developing software capabilities for Operational Test Command to Plan, Prepare, Execute, and Assess Data across test event lifecycles. This engineer will utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools & methodology to enable effective and efficient engineering of the AOTI project. Reports to Systems Engineering Lead.
As a Systems Engineer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes. Your responsibilities will span from crafting requirements, designs, plans, and reports to collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement, verify, and validate solutions based on engineering models. This role reports directly to our Systems Engineering Lead, and you'll find yourself actively participating in integrated product teams, driving short- to mid-term systems engineering projects. This is a full-time position that will work in the Trideum office in Huntsville, AL at least 4 days a week (Hybrid of in-office and remote work).
What You'll Do: Your day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:
- Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to craft comprehensive engineering models encompassing functional and non-functional requirements, architectures, designs, use cases, and test cases.
- Coordinate with program management personnel to prioritize work IAW programmatic and technical objectives.
- Lead integrated product teams in short- to mid-term systems engineering projects, guiding team members and developing project plans and schedules.
- Elicit requirements from customers to understand operational test mission needs and gaps; develop system and software capabilities requirements and designs; plan and conduct verification and validation of developed resources; plan for and execute transition of capabilities to customers.
- Assist in the coordinate with OTC customer representatives to develop engineering plans, architectures and designs, and other artifacts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering) from an accredited institution.
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience defining operational concepts, system architectures, and operational capabilities while deriving system and subsystem level requirements
- Proficiency in identifying project tasks and developing project schedules using MS Project
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
- U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret security clearance is required
- Occasional light travel may be necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in aviation, communication, sensor, cyber, unmanned air/ground, and/or missile systems testing.
- Experience with MBSE tools, especially MagicDraw or CAMEO.
- Graduate degree in engineering from an accredited school
- Experience with high-level programming languages, or scripting languages.
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder certification.
