RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST: Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, radiologic technologist performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Technologists are trained in multifaceted services such as Fluoroscopy, OR, ERCP, Digital Radiography, Portable x-ray equipment, Dexa Scans, etc. and demonstrates competencies annually. This position provides maximum benefit to the patient by producing quality images with the lowest possible radiation exposure to the patient. This position is responsible for performing quality radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with department policies and procedures, working effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complies with infection prevention procedures, maintaining accurate records, radiation safety, student education, orientation of new employees, quality assurance, care of equipment, and other duties as assigned. This position is required to meet the minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio and is required to maintain ARRT and ODH licensure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree Allied Health Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)Radiologic Technologist ARRT, State License
EXPERIENCE: None in a related field
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Fluoroscopy, C-arm, OR, ERCP's, Trauma, Digital Radiography, Portable X-ray equipment, Radiation Safety.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Department is seeking Radiology Technologist to work in a dual role. This team member would be performing X-Rays and being trained as a Clinical Team Member. Clinical Team Member responsibilities include (but are not limited to) rooming patients, assisting Physicians with procedures, EPIC (EMR) In-Basket work, etc.
