Responsibilities
- Always follow Triple-S safe methods of work and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
- Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment as assigned, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, hammer, pallet trucks, banding machine, micrometer, beam hook, plate lifting clamps, forklift, shear, overhead crane and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine checks on equipment and notify supervisor of any damages or concerns.
- Operate and maintain Burn Table to cut materials according to CAD drawings or work orders.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Measure materials to assure conformance with design specifications.
- Select correct material type, stock size and dimensions.
- Transfer appropriate data onto materials.
- Keep a clean, and well organized work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Technical training or certification in Machine Operation or related field preferred.
- Previous experience interpreting CAD drawings preferred.
- Experienced operating CNC plasma and oxy machines.
- Familiarity
- Experienced with overhead cranes.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in fast paced environment.
- Ability to stand for a prolonged period.
