Job Description:
The Housing Janitor insures that proper health and sanitation are properly maintained throughout the facilities.

Qualifications:
Successful applicants will have:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 mo. commercial janitorial experience
Housing Janitor Job Duties:
- Sweep, pick up garbage, dump garbage, clean main doors and double windows, vacuum entry-ways, wipe walls, sweep and mop, disinfect water fountain, dust, and wipe fixtures down.
- Clean bathrooms; sweep and mop floors, clean toilets in and out, replace toilet paper and clean/fill sanitary napkin containers, clean edges on floors and around toilet, clean sink and replace hand soap, disinfect counters.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Notify maintenance concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or defective equipment to the Housing Supervisor.
- Upon move out of the units; Clean appliances, cupboards, light fixtures, bathrooms, Windows & blinds, ensure common areas are clean, Wash bedding, and replenish amenities that are needed in rooms as requested.

Certificates:
- A current driver license is required.
