Position Summary:
The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of the golf operations team at the property and assists the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or General Manager in managing all golf and golf‐related activities at the facility.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- 1‐2 years golf industry experience preferred
- College degree (PGM) preferred
- PGA membership or in the process of obtaining PGA membership preferred
- Previous experience in golf operations, with a strong understanding of pro shop management and golf program development.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Proficient in marketing strategies, with experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Must have strong customer/guest orientation
- Must have strong communication skills
- Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
- Must have basic computer skills

- Must be available for all days and shifts
- Assist in managing facility and staff and assumes responsibility as the Manager on Duty during designated times
- Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
- Assist in coordinating of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the 1st Assistant Golf Professional, Head Golf Professional, Sales Manager and/or General Manager
- Assumes 1st Assistant golf professional’s duties in his or her absence
- Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, for management
- Works closely with Outside Guest Services team and Starter to monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf course markings
- Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check‐in process
- Coordinate tee time management, equipment handling, and course logistics efficiently
- Provide coaching and guidance to players of all skill levels, assisting in their skill improvement and fostering a love for the game
- Develop and execute engaging golf programs aimed at attracting and retaining new golfers, including clinics, lessons, and junior golf initiatives.
- Foster a welcoming environment to encourage participation and enjoyment of the game.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to devise and execute strategies to promote Ocean Course Hokuala.
- Implement innovative marketing campaigns, both online and on-property, to attract golfers and increase course visibility.
