Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveReferral Coordinatorto join our administrative team. The Referral Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a seamless intake and referral process for clients entering services at Trusted Results. This position will manage incoming referrals, verify insurance eligibility, communicate with referral sources, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure timely scheduling and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming referrals via phone, fax, email, and EHR systems
- Contact clients or referral sources to gather missing documentation or information
- Verify insurance benefits and determine coverage for services
- Enter referral and client data accurately into the electronic health record (EHR)
- Coordinate and schedule initial appointments with clinical staff based on availability and client needs
- Track and manage the status of all referrals, maintaining up-to-date records
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources, clients, and clinical staff
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and referral partners
- Identify referral trends and provide regular updates to leadership
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare administration, medical scheduling, or insurance verification
- Knowledge of behavioral health services and insurance eligibility processes strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (experience with SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, or similar a plus)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Compassionate, client-centered mindset with a commitment to teamwork and efficiency
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
