Merchandiser

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Within an assigned area/territory, the Merchandiser is responsible for providing excellent customer service to Tryon accounts by performing sales, merchandising, and other support duties as assigned. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts
• Stock, merchandise and rotate product on various displays and shelves according to industry standards
• Assist delivery drivers by unloading products, checking in and stocking orders
• Build displays and store resets as required
• Report daily activities within assigned territory

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

• Must be 18 or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Must be a team player and work well with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of safe work practices
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment in all types of weather
• Ability to drive throughout assigned route in all kinds of weather and road conditions
• Ability to work within tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year in service-oriented position
• Experience with a material handling equipment (i.e. hand truck, dolly, pallet jack)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee will perform work in these areas:

• In vehicle while in route to customer locations
• Customer locations
