DEPARTMENT: Tribal Court-Probation
JOB SUMMARY: The Probation Services Manager oversees the administration and operation of probation and pretrial services within the Tulalip Tribal Court’s jurisdiction. Serving as the highest-ranking Tulalip Probation Officer, this position promotes accountability, healing, and successful community reintegration through restorative justice principles and evidence-informed supervision. The manager supervises staff, directs case management, ensures legal compliance, and collaborates with Tribal leaders, court personnel, service providers, and law enforcement to support rehabilitation and public safety.
COMPENSATION: $36.86 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, or a closely related field. *Relevant Experience may substitute for degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of experience in probation, parole, or community corrections.
- Three (3) years of progressive supervisory or management experience in a criminal justice setting.
- Two (2) years of experience in grant writing and/or budget and financial management.
- Experience working with Tribal Courts or Tribal communities is preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License.
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)
- CPR/First Aide Certificate.
- Must meet the minimum qualifications for a probation officer as established by the Tulalip Tribal Code.
- Must have completed Basic Probation, Parole, or Law Enforcement Training.
- Must have no alcohol or drug-related criminal convictions within the past five (5) years or pending alcohol or drug-related cases.
- Must not be currently on probation or enrolled in any court programs related to criminal cases.
- Must have no restrictions on your ability to carry or use a firearm, such as being named as a respondent on a protection order, restraining order, or anti-harassment order.
- Must adhere to The Tulalip Tribal Court Ethics – Code of Conduct for Court Employees policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-time position.
