Summary
The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for developing production plans and preparing production schedules that optimize manufacturing efficiency to meet the Master Production Schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish the sequence and lead times for each schedule to meet shipping dates, inventory levels, and downstream production demand. Champion for level scheduling utilizing Lean problem-solving techniques. Determines needs and prepares purchase order releases for meat ingredients, processing materials, and packaging. Reviews daily cycle count updates for discrepancies. Adjust schedule by working with corporate and facility procurement, transportation departments on material availability. Compiles daily, weekly, and monthly production inventory reports. Work with corporate procurement on the return of raw materials. Reviews and evaluates finished products' conformance to specifications and makes changes as needed. 10-15 hours per week on the production floor are required for this position. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisor Production experience is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry skills. Above-average SAP experience preferred.
- Special Skills: Understanding and knowledge of LEAN problem-solving techniques. Good written and verbal communication and math skills required. General understanding of plant operations and inventory management. Ability to manage multiple projects. APICS certification is a plus.
