UCLA Neurobiology offers cutting-edge basic science research into explorations of the brain and central nervous system. You will provide important support to our vital work as you offer guidance and post-award financial oversight. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site work 2 days per week. CRA certifications are encouraged and sponsored. The Research Administrator will: * Provide administrative and fiscal management of projects, and a full range of accounting support functions for the department; includes but is not limited to creating monthly financial reports, incorporating general ledger and payroll ledger data, and thoroughly reconcile reports verifying appropriateness of all expenses. * Handle Departmental post-award finance and contract & grant administration. * Provide oversight to approximately $10 million in annual appropriations, including contract & grant, State, gift, sales & service, and ICR funding. * Coordinate, prepare and submit all sponsor reports, additional funding requests and extensions according to agency requirements and deadlines. * Complete other special projects as assigned, and provide supervisor with necessary suggestions to continuously improve and streamline processes.
