Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our Phlebotomy department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This is a Per Diem position. Shift: Rotational Hours per week: 4 Salary range: $21.03 - $29.78 per hour, depending on experience. Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician / Overview Under supervision of the section supervisor, performs routine and specialized tests in clinical or pathology laboratory section in a timely manner according to UHS, Hospitals’, Infection Control, Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC Blood and Body Fluids policies and procedures. Priority is given to STAT testing and to tests that require immediate processing. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required: Associate degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent (NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician). Preferred: One (1) year of clinical laboratory experience. License/Certification Minimum Required: NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician. Work Environment Most work is performed in heated and air conditioned surroundings. Ability to lift 25 pounds, walking reaching, standing and sitting. When performing laboratory testing, eyewear, gloves, masks/face shields must be worn according to NYS Dept. of Health, and UHSH Infection Control, and CDC Blood and Body Fluids Policies and Procedures.
