Health Information Management ROI Specialist, 33 Lewis Rd United Health Services is seeking a Health Information Management ROI Specialist to join our Release of Information department at 33 Lewis Rd in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $16.35 - $21.49 per hour, depending on experience. Health Information Management ROI Specialist / Overview Responsible for processing Release of Information (ROI) requests in a timely, efficient manner ensuring patient privacy in compliance with UHS policy and HIPAA regulations. Assure records requested are processed timely to minimize delays, that impact patient care or patient needs. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of electronic health records. Preferred: One (1) year previous experience in a release of information, Health Information Management or healthcare environment. Knowledge of New York State Rules and Regulations pertaining to HIPAA and Release of Information. Work Environment All work is performed in an office where employees utilize a workspace, however are in close quarters with other co-workers. Frequent interruptions often take place in responding to customer requests. Although interruptions are expected, a quiet environment is conducive to an effective work setting.
