Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has a DIETARY MANAGER Opportunity.
Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents.
We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues.
We provide a caring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities and applied behavior analysis services. EOE.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent or 5 years experience in Food Service Management.
Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the Dietary Department.
Employee will participate in General Hospital Orientation and Department/Job Orientation including competencies for this position.
Current BLS certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training is required.
Every year, employees must participate in annual staff training update requirements, including testing for tuberculosis.
Staff members must attend all mandatory in-services and are encouraged to participate in activities that enhance their professional growth and development.
Employees will receive performance appraisals/evaluations after 90 days and then annually.
Maintain application of State, Federal, and Joint Commission standards for Dietary Department.
Prepare meals for in-services and special events as requested.
Perform personnel management duties including screening and selection of dietary staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to Human Resources office.
Serve as Dietary Department’s fiscal manager by submitting budget and adhering to FTE standards.
Schedule balanced and nutritional menus to be served to patients and supervise the food preparation.
Receive input from dietitian regarding and specialized menus. Maintain and monitor cleanliness and safety of dietary equipment.
Purchase food, supplies and equipment for the department.
Responsible for dietary work schedule.
Maintain and monitor number of meals served.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support facility internal and external customer service standards.
Follow Laurel Heights Hospital Time and Attendance Policy.
