This Physician/Hospitalist opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. Provides and manages direct patient care.   Assures the adequacy and appropriateness of medical care provided to patients.   All medical staff will be privileged and credentialed according to the rules and regulations of that specific healthcare organization. The medical staff of each department or service is responsible for peer review activities to promote continuous improvement of the quality of patient care provided by the medical staff in all departments of the healthcare organization. See your organizations Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations to define these processes.

 

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes standard precautions; complies with OSHA standards pursuant to blood borne pathogen, tuberculosis and hazardous material and waste; complies with infection control policies including isolation precautions and consistent hand hygiene. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of facility policy related to:  emergency preparedness, fire, hazardous materials and waste, medical equipment, safety, security and utilities and understands role and expected level of participation.
  • Reports safety and risk issues; completes incident reports as appropriate.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements if required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nevada.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
  • Presentation of Certificate of Insurance.
  • Current  ACLS certification
