Overview
Bowhead seeks a Senior Budget Analyst to support future efforts on the PMA 268 contract at Patuxent River, MD
Responsibilities
- Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
- Analyze budgeting and accounting reports.
- Manage objectives by formulating, defining, designing, testing and implementing requirements and upgrades to business processes, policies and information systems.
- Review budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine program efficiency.
Qualifications
- Required: MA/MS degree.
- Allowable Substitutions: Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a master’s degree. OR Associate degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master’s Degree. OR Six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a master’s degree.
- Required: ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
- At least three (3) years of knowledge and experience of budget, planning and executing out of the following financial systems: N-ERP, CSPT and PBIS; Knowledge and expertise in the PPBE process.
- Must be able to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits, and solve complex problems.
- Must posess communication skills, math skills, writing skills and be detail oriented.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
