General Accountabilities
* Counsels all company employees regarding specific departmental programs and services.
* Manage all employee benefits/ employee programs.
* Submit payroll and time keeping reports.
* Recruit employees/ temporary employees.
* Manage all safety and training programs.
* Manage team building and company events.
* Meets with and assists employees in completing relevant forms.
* Answers questions pertinent to specific departmental function.
* Reviews forms, policies, and makes necessary revisions, as appropriate.
* Ensures that required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Processes documents necessary for the implementation of various programs and maintains such records as necessary.
* Makes recommendations for records automation and other processes relating to departmental procedures.
* Interacts with vendors, carriers and/or other company departments to facilitate processing and/or resolve operational and servicing problems.
* Researches information, compiles statistics, and gathers data as necessary.
* Assists with special reports and projects as requested.
* Maintains departmental records and files.
* Advises employees, prospective employees or retirees on eligibility for programs or services.
* Provides information regarding related policies according to guidelines and established procedures.
* Oversees processing and record keeping functions.
* Composes and produces business correspondence, reports and related materials or guides the work of other staff that produces these materials. Reviews and signs materials, as authorized. Edits documents produced by others. Ensures confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information, such as staff personnel files. Responds to inquiries and requests for information requiring knowledge of departmental and company policies and procedures. Serves as internal resource to administrators or staff on departmental and company procedures. Researches information, as requested, and relays official interpretations. Performs administrative duties associated with scheduling and coordinating meetings and planning events. Arranges with vendors for services, prepares agendas, gathers and organizes supporting information, and oversees production and distribution of related materials. Attends functions to ensure satisfactory outcome. Records and summarizes minutes for typing and distribution. Researches and gathers data for departmental reports. Conducts preliminary analysis of data. Oversees office operations. Implements changes or enhancements to procedures to improve productivity, efficiency and service. Supervises unit employees and/or intern workers, as assigned. Monitors employee performance on a regular basis. Ensures timely completion of unit's work. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
