Retail Assistant Manager
Summary:
Oversees the daily operations of the branch office and is also responsible for establishing profitable relationships with new and existing customers by providing them with information regarding the bank’s deposit products and services and cross selling all bank products.
Duties:
¨ Ensure that branch tellers are following all cash handling procedures.
¨ Oversee vault cash, currency shipping and receiving, currency orders, vault transfers, etc.
¨ Review Teller Over/Short records monthly to ensure policy compliance.
¨ Provide a complete range of customer services, including opening deposit accounts, explaining products and services, and gathering appropriate customer information to originate new and existing accounts.
¨ Actively refer loan services to appropriate personnel.
¨ Accurately prepare all appropriate deposit documentation for all new and existing accounts.
¨ Assist customers and potential customer with banking related problems and inquires such as EFT disputes, account reconciliation, internet banking support, etc.
¨ Participate in customer call center to properly assist customers will all deposit related problems and inquires.
¨ Assist Retail Manager in leading branch specific meetings.
¨ Participate in Branch Management and bank wide meetings.
¨ Ensure that branch staff minimizes cash losses to the bank by following security guidelines and procedures.
¨ Assist the Retail Manager in relationship building by participating in activities for generating new business such as sales calls and civic, social and community events.
¨ Provide guidance and supervision regarding policy and procedures to branch staff.
¨ Provide ongoing training to branch staff in regard to bank products and services in addition to customer interaction.
¨ First point of contact regarding branch issues: i.e. check approvals, official check signing, time off request, etc.
¨ Ensures that the financial institution is secured for the opening and closing of operations.
¨ Performs teller function when necessary.
¨ Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.
