Position Summary:
We are looking for our next employee-owner to join our Building Automation Group in New Castle, DE. Successful individuals in this role are technically and electrically inclined, have good attention to detail and customer focused. This candidate will work closely with our customers and lighting teams to design, specify, and quote customized lighting control solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designs lighting control systems via Bluebeam, CAD, or various manufacturer software.
- Reads and understands electrical specifications on projects to adhere to the correct control standards when designing a system.
- Analyzes currently specified controls package to understand what system is being utilized and how to design a comparable alternate system.
- Negotiates and quotes pricing for controls jobs.
- Occasionally travels with company sales representatives and manufacturers to promote value-added services and control products to our customers.
- Understands the commissioning process on digital lighting control systems and assists with onsite commissioning when needed.
- Conducts training sessions for customers.
- Performs internal communication regarding customer issues and manufacturing concerns.
- Stays current on new products and services as needed to act as subject matter expert to coworkers and customers.
- Visits customer jobsites to provide various walk-through services.
- Maintains organized documentation on ongoing projects.
- Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years lighting/electrical industry experience.
- Knowledge of lighting products, applications, and systems.
- Great aptitude to work with customers and internal teams
- Bluebeam and CAD software experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality controls.
- Understanding of UES Quotation Systems.
- Ability to read blueprints preferred.
- 25% travel required.
- High School Diploma required.
