What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Business Analyst/Architect position at United States Steel Corporation?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop relationships with our internal customers to deliver valuable solutions
- Architect solutions according to team standards
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Provide clear directions to development teams offshore and onshore
- Work closely with third party vendors to deliver projects
- Facilitate agreement on organizational work models and processes to meet business requirements and deliver projects
- Implement Digital, AI, Machine Learning and Analytics capabilities into our solutions as we modernize our applications
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technology trends
- Help evolve our standards as new innovative capabilities provide opportunities for improvement
- Think outside of our traditional ways of doing things to deliver innovative solutions
- The candidate’s level will be based upon a combination of education and relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related discipline or work experience
- Five plus years’ experience delivering innovative applications with responsibility for strategy formulation
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational, project, process and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems
- Demonstrated skill at data visualization and storytelling for an audience of stakeholders
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Ten plus years working in the IT Field
- Three plus years working in the steel (or related manufacturing) industry
- Experience developing applications with .Net based frameworks and using agile methodologies
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Cloud Technologies, UI/UX Design and Development, Kafka, MQTT, UNS, Web Services, Streaming Data and Real-Time Integration, SQL
- Working experience with offshore development teams
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a hybrid role with a commuter remote structure that requires 15-20% travel.
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer.
- Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
