Job Summary:

The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of a medical practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient administrative processes, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role involves managing staff, finances, and resources to achieve operational excellence and support the strategic goals of the practice.


Key Responsibilities:


Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the medical practice, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Implement and monitor office policies and procedures to improve workflow and patient care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient scheduling and service delivery.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and clinical staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and professional development.
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a positive work environment.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the practice’s budget.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Oversee billing, coding, and collections processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Patient Relations:

  • Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction through effective communication and service.
  • Handle patient complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient experience and retention.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the practice complies with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain accurate and secure patient records.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.

Technology and Equipment:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of medical and office equipment.
  • Ensure the practice’s technology, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, is up to date and functioning effectively.
