Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Altoona Family Medicine
Full-time w/Benefits, Dayshift Hours
7:00 am to 5:00 pm 4 days per week (M, T, Th, Fri)
$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidates, paid over 12 months

Responsibilities

Provide professional clinical services for patients following established practice standards and clinical protocols.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs.
- Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
- Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy and specimen analysis.
- Medication and/or vaccine administration.
- Care Coordination via medication refills, prior authorizations and referral scheduling.
- Test result management and tracking as determined by provider.
- Return patient calls and inquiries via phone or patient portal.
Qualifications
Aside from building relationships, exceeding patient expectations and having fun while you work, the following apply:
- Current CMA Certification.
- High School Diploma - if working in moderately complex CLIA lab.
- BLS/Mandatory Reporter
- Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to assist providers in professional manner
