Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care appropriate to child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Must be able to objectively perform initial assessment of patient's condition along with needs related to adult and geriatric behavioral health patient.

Responsibilities
Assists physician/ARNP/PA with patient care as requested.
- Takes, and records, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight as needed as part of the rooming process.
- Dispenses samples, medication coupons and patient assistance medication at the direction of the medical staff.
- Assists patients in completing Patient Assistance Applications.
- Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs to medical staff.
- Provides ongoing medication management to stabilized patients under the supervision of the medical staff. Provide education to patients and families on the benefits and side effects of prescribed medications.
- Provides injections at the direction of medical staff.
- Sets up medications and provides education on medication and symptom management to assigned patients.
- Assists patients in determining and obtaining needed services. If multiple service involvement, coordinates services on behalf of the patient.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of assigned patients' mental health and an annual evaluation update. Provide transportation, when needed, for medical appointments or other client related needs.
- Assists with appointment scheduling and message taking regarding symptoms and medications as needed.
- Participates in Center's operations demonstrating professional behaviors to include supporting goals of the Center and maintain awareness of resource utilization.
- Assists with triaging patients as requested within the Center.
