Summary of Job Duties

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Little Rock Athletics) is looking for a Women's Basketball Assistant Coach who will serve under the direction of the Head Coach. This position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the successful execution in planning, developing and administering all phases of the women's basketball program. All duties and responsibilities are governed by state, federal and university policy.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Preferred Education And/Or Experience

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
• Collegiate or Professional Basketball playing experience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes;
• Coordinate on-court workouts and team practices;
• Assist in budget preparation and administration;
• Coordinate team travel arrangements;
• Monitor academic progress towards degree;
• Assist head coach in practice and game preparation;
• Assist in daily workouts with individual players;
• Supervise study hall and perform class checks;
• Scout assigned opponents;
• Compliance with all NCAA, conference and institutional rules;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference and university rules and regulations;
• Ability to work nights and weekends;
• Ability to travel extensively within the region and nationally for recruitment purposes;
• Knowledge of budgeting processes;
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the university;
• Ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle;
• Must have the ability to rent a vehicle while on recruitment trips.
