Reporting to the Director of Reimbursement, you will ensure precise home office reimbursement for UC Hospitals. This will involve conducting independent reviews of cost statements, estimating facility impact, and leading weekly calls. This role requires remaining current on Medicare/Medi-Cal rules, updating Medi-Cal Waiver Models, and contributing to policy analysis. You will:
* Prepare home office cost statement for UC Academic Medical Centers
* Monitor Medicare/Medi-Cal cost reports and home office cost statement rules and regulations
* Understand Medi-Cal financing rules related to Medi-Cal Waiver reimbursement
* Address compliance issues, data requests, and reporting consistency
* Prepare draft government reimbursement policies specific to home office costs
* Conduct a deep dive analysis of UCOP general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, etc.
* Coordinate weekly Reimbursement Director call and ad-hoc data requests
* Present detailed reviews to Reimbursement Directors
Salary Range: $71,500 - $154,900
QualificationsWe're seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly-analytical leader with:
* A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
* Five or more years of directly-related experience, required
* Proficiency in the review of home office cost statements for UC Academic Medical Centers
* Ability to assess cost statements for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks
* Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
* Ability to address compliance issues, data requests, and reporting consistency
* In-depth understanding of Medicare/Medi-Cal cost reports
* Knowledge of Medi-Cal financing rules
* Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement, financial reporting, and budgeting
* Data management and analysis proficiency
* Strong project management, organizational, and prioritizing abilities
* Proficiency in policy analysis impacting home office costs
* Ability to draft government reimbursement policies for home office costs
* Understanding of Medicare and Medi-Cal reimbursement principles
