Position Information
The Financial Analyst will provide financial analytical support for the College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) Dean's Office. The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and contribute as a team member to the CNAS Dean's Office financial team. This role requires the incumbent to perform mid-level analysis and ad-hoc reports to support the Dean's Office in support of all financial operations. Additional responsibilities include assistance with Agricultural administration encompassing Hatch funds management, ag project reporting, CE Specialists support, and other various tasks as assigned. Incumbent must be familiar with best practices for completing moderately complex analyses including strong Excel skills coupled with the ability to manage & navigate large data sets utilizing a range of campus systems and analytic tools. Above all, the position requires a natural curiosity for "how things work" and an adventurous sense of flexibility along with a solid understanding of financial mechanics. The position also requires the ability to work with a diverse set of colleagues across campus including CNAS Development, CNAS departments, UCR Foundations, Accounting, Budget Office, Undergrad Academic Advising Center, Graduate Affairs Center, Financial Aid, Graduate Division, awardees, faculty, and staff. The full salary range for the Financial Analyst 1 is $24.71 - $41.67 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $24.71 -$33.19 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
