This person will work with the NDI team lead in support of evaluating, performing, integrating and advancing NDI methods for aerospace applications. Inspection of aircraft structures, engines, and support components for damage due to in-service or manufacturing induced flaws will be performed on metallic and composite materials. Inspections will be performed in accordance with existing standards or to qualify new processes meeting those standards. Duties include day to day investigations on parts and components and data processing and evaluation. Operation and maintenance of tomography units and radiographic equipment.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience.
- 15 years of experience in NDE methodologies in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in Eddy Current, Ultrasound, Radiology, tomography, liquid penetrants.
- Experience with Microsoft word, Power Point, Excel
- 5 years as a certified weld inspector.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership Skills.
- ASNT / NAS410 Level 2 in magnetic particle.
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.
- The ability to obtain a secret or higher clearance is a requirement of this position.
