Classification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description: Research Administration and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to study protocols and maintain high data quality through the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Administer data entry, storage, and verification processes using both paper and electronic records.
• Complete case report forms (paper & electronic data capture) and address queries.
• Complete quality assurance tasks, manuscript preparation, and assist with regulatory documentation such as IRB submissions, NIH progress reports, and study registration.
• Support study finances including grant writing and managing study budget.
• Maintain laboratory safety and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.

Study Coordination and Participant Management

• Coordinate and implement all phases of research studies, including study design execution, recruitment, community outreach, participant enrollment, and retention strategies.
• Manage study materials, conduct eligibility screenings, schedule visits, administer questionnaires, and manage participant retention and compensation.
• Oversee study logistics including purchasing, timeline tracking, and monitoring deviations from study protocols.

Team and Workflow Oversight

• Acts as liaison for principal investigator, research sponsors, and research participants.
• Support the principal investigator in lab workflow and project management by determining timelines and delegating assignments.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of research staff, students, and volunteers.
• Organize regular team meetings to monitor study progress.
• Coordinate the hiring process, including writing job descriptions, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews.

Other duties as assigned. Expected Salary:

$40,000- $60,000 Commensurate with education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of clinical trial experience or large scale, online data collection with children, youth, or families, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective problem solving, communication, and writing skills.
• Should be able to multi-task and have demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Should be able to interact sensitively and confidentially with participants and their guardians.
• Knowledge of IRB and human subjects research protection regulations.
• Proficiency with the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) system, passive data collection via smartphone use (such as EARS, Effortless Assessment Research System), online recruitment mechanisms (such as social
• media), and/or statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS).
